Home Sweet Home
We are home!!!!!!!!! Cue the dance party! Our three month stay at the gymie-school has come to an end. It feels surreal to be at this point. Judah and I went back on Tuesday for his therapy and an orthotics adjustment appointments. The outbreak status was extended for this week, so Judah didn’t get to…

Walk Slowly
Two weeks ago, there was a respiratory virus outbreak on Judah’s floor and wing while Jesse and Judah were there. Thankfully, Jesse remained non-symptomatic and his care team was super accommodating even though Judah wasn’t able to go to school or the pool. He still had in person therapy in a designated gym. A New Day
We were all home last week due to sickness and it hit us all a little differently. On the bright side, we were all home together for my birthday. We were sick, but still together. Judah was doing virtual appointments for OT and PT this week and other exercises/activities with us in between. We had…

On to Holland Bloorview
We arrived at Holland Bloorview this week as planned. When we explained Holland Bloorview to Judah, we said there was going to be a gym there to do his exercises and a school for him to go as well. It didn’t take him long to interrupt us and say “maybe we can call it a…

Up, Up and Away!
Day one and two in the hospital were pain management for Judah while he was laying flat. His pain medications decreased yesterday and will ideally continue to decrease. When I was singing a few different songs and snuggling with Judah while he was feeling more pain, he wanted me to “sing only the Jesus songs”! Yesterday…

Surgery Update
Our son, Judah is living with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. Judah had a surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy at SickKids in Toronto yesterday. The hope and goal of this surgery is to remove and/or drastically reduce spasticity (tightness) in his muscles. The doctor spoke with us and said once he was in there and saw…
